My first Sewing Project - Pj Bottoms

This is my first sewing project ever. Now, before I get started on this post, I want to start by saying that this project has been done a couple of years back and my mother helped tremendously through these projects. Basically, this was my way of learning how to sew. It was a good beginner's project, especially when someone was readily available to help me out. As far as people that have never sewn before, I would recommend having something or someone to help you out. You should at least know the basic functions of a sewing machine/serger machine. I had also used a Simplicity pattern, which I hear is a good company to start with when you want to start sewing. I remember the directions being easy to understand.

This is a close up of one of the pants and probably my favorite out of the two: lobsters! I found this flannel fabric on sale a couple of years back and thought it was fun. At first when we were shopping for the fabric, my mom didn't like it too much (or thought it would be too eccentric) but she eventually came to enjoy it. I think it's a lot of fun. And even after two-three years (unsure how old these are, exactly), they still fit and are super comfy.

I made these for Christmas presents for my friends. Three lucky friends had a warm Christmas, thanks to lobsters and cowboys. I just made an extra pair of pants from both fabrics for myself.

Here is a close up on the cowboy printed bottoms to the left. I am sorry if the pictures didn't turn out too well. My camera sucks ass. To the right is a zoomed in picture of the prints. Aren't they spectacular?

Now that I think of it, I may still have more of that lobster print hiding somewhere.

So there are all the pictures. Next time when I do a project I'll adjust the pictures to make them not so big and give them a better background. My "sky blue" carpet reminds me of baby's vomit blended in with zit puss. And with that image in your mind, have a great day!
