"Demo" by Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan

I decided to review books now. These books will be anything artistic and awesome. These can be craft books, comics, how-to books, whatever I feel like reviewing. So, here I go.

It took me a little bit to figure out what the purpose of this book is. It's a bunch of short comics written by Brian Wood and drawn by Becky Cloonan. These comics are about people that have power. Now, Wood had different views and 'opinions' of what power actually was, whether it was kids with super powers or an individual discovering that they have power within their own life. Which brings me to this: not a lot of characters in this book you can relate too. Some people in their particular situations you may be able to relate to, but not always.

If you know me, then you very much know that I am a sucker for Cloonan's artwork. I'm just now getting introduced to Brian Wood's writing, but it was nice in the Demo comics.

It's definitely an amusing read and it's suggested for mature readers. If you have the time and money to get this book and read it, I suggest it. If you can buy the comic less than the listed price at $19.99, then great!
