I made my very first batch of homemade cinnamon rolls! And, by God, where they delicious. After many years of my family's enjoyment (and my father's obsession) of the Pillsbury Doughboy pre-made cinnamon rolls, I decided to make some of my own. Above, you can see the rolls made and ready to be eaten (and I already had started to eat one). I did a fantastic job. The only thing that was surprising to me at the time was how much the dough needed to rise. It took hours just to rise the dough. So if I did something like this again, I would have to be sure a full day would be free so I can rise without bother.
In this picture to the left, you can see the little bastards rise. I left out the remaining cinnamon/sugar mixture that goes inside of the rolls for my dad. One of his favorite snack foods.
Here is the dough before I rolled them out. Punching it was a lot of fun.
