I'm (sort of) getting the hang of sewing. Little by little. Luckily, my mom is nearby to help me out if I need any. But I'd say this is my first sewing project that I didn't need so much help with reading the directions and actually sewing the project. I remember making a 2009 new year's resolution that I'd learn how to sew. I'm learning (slowly) now but I'm getting it done. I'm very proud of this project.
I was at a fabric store with my mom the other day and I saw a reversible apron pattern. The owner of the place had made aprons and had them on display that showed that the pattern looked like. I fell in love. So I bought the pattern and got started on the apron as soon as I got home and came up with this. Ever since I've made it, I've been wearing it every time I cook something (most of the time with the flower side out). I've been showing people what I've made and they want an apron for themselves for Christmas. Well shit, they're easy enough. I'll do it.
I just love how this apron looks on me. It's so flowy and wonderful. I feel like more of a housewife when I wear them, and according to my boyfriend, I just look plain sexy in it. Thanks, I'll take your word for it!
